Dream of UCLA Conference Center is Realized
Meet. Stay. Be Inspired at UCLA’s Newest Venue.
We’re pleased to announce the opening of the UCLA Luskin Conference Center. Experience our thoughtfully designed meeting spaces, inviting guest rooms, a food destination restaurant, and the best in Bruin hospitality.
The UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center officially opened its doors on Sunday, August 7, 2016 – a day that campus leaders, present and past, have envisioned, advocated, and planned for many years. Through the Luskins’ generous and visionary gift, UCLA now has a central meeting place that fosters the building of relationships and the exchange of ideas between UCLA’s diverse campus community and the world.
“The vision driving the Luskin Conference Center is raising the meeting experience to a new and powerful level of knowledge advancement and intellectual sharing,” said Les Utley, general manager of the Luskin Conference Center and a veteran of the hospitality industry.
Planning for a number of groups and meetings in the coming months is well underway. The Luskin Center will be welcoming the UCLA Anderson School of Management, the UCLA Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics, the UCLA Football pre-season program, and Operation Mend — a UCLA-based group that offers medical services such as reconstructive surgery to wounded soldiers.
During our recent “soft opening,” we received positive feedback on many aspects of the guest experience at the Luskin Conference Center.
Meeting Rooms
One guest was particularly impressed with both the ambiance and practical aspects of the Center commenting: “Not only are the spaces beautiful, but the seating is very comfortable, the natural lighting is wonderful, and the audio-visual technology is really amazing. The Luskin designers have thought of everything to make us comfortable and productive.”
Group Dining
Several groups have enjoyed buffet lunches and small receptions presented by the onsite Luskin Catering team in the pre-function area off of the Centennial Hall – combining a beautiful space with close proximity to the meeting location. The refreshment hubs on the first and second floor adjacent to the meeting rooms also provide guest convenience with healthy beverages and snacks available throughout the day.
Guest Inspiration
Meeting guests are offered thought-provoking glimpses into the creative mind as they pass through the Center’s corridors. Original art is featured from UCLA faculty and alumni who have made significant contributions to the Los Angeles art scene and beyond.
The Dining Experience
Luskin Conference Center guests and campus visitors are now enjoying breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Plateia, the Center’s 160-seat onsite restaurant featuring Mediterranean-inspired, California-fresh cuisine. With its beautiful indoor and outdoor ambience which includes a full service lounge, and year-round al fresco seating on the patio shaded with olive trees, the Luskin Conference Center is living up to its promise of being a central campus spot for colleagues and friends to come together in a beautiful, relaxed environment.
Please join the growing number of meeting planners who have chosen the UCLA Luskin Conference Center as the right place for their conferences and events. Bring your group to the Luskin Conference Center, where people meet and ideas flourish!
