Everyone was so respectful, polite and accommodating to all our needs. The front desk staff was very professional in directing the attendees and answering questions — and so friendly! The assistant staff were extremely helpful with storing the suitcases of supplies for our conference. The room set-up was perfect, the seating was comfortable and it was nice to be able to see outside. The AV support was awesome: the staff were always available to help and fix anything that was needed. And the catering staff was over the top! The food was presented beautifully and tasted even better. One attendee said, “Personally, I felt like I was on a gourmet food extravanganza!” and another said “The place and food were amazing!”

On behalf of GSE&IS, I would first like to first say THANK YOU for the absolutely amazing experience my team, faculty, guests, and I had during our 2nd GSE&IS Argentina Institute. We first held this event back in November 2016 and we quickly realized we would continue to hold this event at the Luskin Conference Center in the future.
Words can’t fully illustrate the amazing service we received and the extensive attention to detail the entire LCC staff provided us during our event, especially during a very busy time for LCC. For most of the 300 educators from Argentina that have spent their time at UCLA and the Luskin Conference Center so far, this was their first trip ever away from their local provinces, needless to say their first international trip. Our guests came with endless questions and insecurities due to being in a foreign land but the entire Luskin staff helped make them feel comfortable and provided each one of them with their own exceptional personal experience.
From a program perspective, managing an event this large with complicated logistics that could change at a moment’s notice is not easy but your entire Luskin team was there for us every step of the way. In many ways, we became a family that was there for each other.
Our international guests left UCLA and the Luskin Conference Center with an immense amount of gratitude for their experience and the exceptional service they received. My staff and I share the same immense appreciation for the entire LCC staff and the patience they showed us during our event. We will continue to look to the Luskin Conference Center for our future program needs and hope to continue to develop this wonderful working relationship.

“After many years of hosting our event off-campus, we were very excited to be able to once again host our 6-day Annual Pediatric Board Review Course on-campus. Attracting over 200 people, this is by far our biggest event. The UCLA Luskin Conference Center did not disappoint. Our guests could not stop raving about the buffet lunch and how amazing the food was. They particularly enjoyed the variety of options offered. After sitting in a conference room all day, they also appreciated being able to sit outside on the deck in the fresh air with a great view.
Hedy Varga was especially helpful throughout the entire process from the planning of the event through its completion. We very much appreciated her assistance and really felt like our needs were her top priority. The rest of the Luskin staff were also extremely helpful, checking in multiple times a day to make sure we had everything we needed.
Lastly, the amenities were great, from the meeting room space to the audio visual component, allowing us to host a successful course. We very much look forward to hosting our event there for many years to come.”

Not only is the building itself conveniently located in the heart of Westwood and the UCLA campus, which makes it ideal for professional events and meetings, but it also offers a beautiful and serene interior well-suited for hosting guests from out-of-town.
The customer service is exemplary from the catering sales manager to the on-site staff. I’ve been consistently impressed with the warmth, friendliness, and proactive energy of the staff who go out of their way to ensure our needs are met. The banquet food is delicious, the home-made granola bars out-of-this-world, and whatever our request, someone was readily available to assist. They even helped to find solutions for last-minute requests. The AV assistance is also top-notch and a definite plus to utilizing the Luskin for business meetings. “We were very happy with the IoES/Sustainable Conservation event – the entire UCLA Luskin Conference Center banquet/catering staff did a wonderful job. In particular, working with Jennifer Catanes-Avancena made the event effortless on our part. She handled all of the small details with skill, professionalism and a fantastic attitude. She was always available to help with last-minute changes, and could not have been more pleasant to deal with.
We were also very pleased with the entire banquet, catering and meeting room staff who assisted at our event — from the banquet captains and bartender to the chef attendant — all were friendly and highly professional. And the A/V was also set up perfectly! As always, the venue and food were superb.

“Heidi Pamplin, our Conference Director, and I found the UCLA Luskin Conference Center when it was still under construction. We chose it because it had the right number of sleeping and meeting rooms for our group, was a great location, and offered the inclusive CMP.
It also has a large ballroom which accommodated our full group for meetings and meals, and has multiple breakout rooms of many different sizes and configurations so we can share ideas, learn from each other, solve problems, and facilitate team building. Our team loved the nutrition hubs!
Also, the Luskin Conference Center staff are all top notch professionals — the front desk, banquets, and especially Oscar and Ritchie in A/V. Being a short drive from LAX is terrific. With our team members flying in from all over the world, most people are able to arrive on a direct flight. Our team enjoyed being so close to the restaurants in Westwood Village, and on our off nights, we also had fun and explored UCLA and Los Angeles.”
