This May, the UCLA Luskin Conference Center had the opportunity to provide a new experience for guests. Since they love to frequent our open-air lobby, relax on our comfortable sofas, work at our numerous stations and dine at Plateia, our signature in-house restaurant, we decided to take it to the next level and introduce some great music for them. Queue… Mindful Music!

Mindful Music is a non-profit organization that works specifically with academic institutions like UCLA to provide people with an opportunity to “de-stress,” “gather,” and “take a break” during the day with relaxing music.

Genres range from smooth jazz to strings. We saw firsthand how our guests enjoyed relaxing to the music in the afternoon at the UCLA Luskin Conference Center on numerous occasions.

Student performers added to the uniqueness of Mindful Music. Talented students with backgrounds and interests in a variety of musical forms had the opportunity to showcase their talent to visitors at the conference center who were from all over Southern California and the world.

Mindful Music performances were held in May 2018, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Mindful Music by having more performances in the near future. Stay tuned to the tune of Mindful Music here at our conference center!
