TEDxUCLA is back for 2018 with “Waves” this Saturday, April 7th, at Royce Hall! The lineup of great speakers is just part of the fun you can have this weekend when you’re on the UCLA campus for the conference. We’d like to invite you to dine and have a refreshing drink at Plateia, just minutes away from the conference at Royce Hall, in the beautiful UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center.
WHAT IS “WAVES” ABOUT?
“Waves” will focus on topics about enhancing creativity, or “making waves.” The conference is divided into four parts, each about a specific subtopic on creativity. Part 1 is titled, “The art of sugar, artificial intelligence, social justice reform, biodiversity, the blockchain, and the ministry of dance,” and will cover a number of modern-day popular trends and their effect on society. Part 2 discusses “sign language as a superpower.” The full list of speakers and topics for each of these segments is on the TEDxUCLA “Waves” website.
WHO IS SPEAKING THIS YEAR?
“Waves” will feature guest speakers from, and outside of, UCLA. Those invited to speak include famed journalist Ann Curry, ABC business executive Pash, entrepreneur David Serabia, and even illusionist Jackson Rayne. Notable UCLA professors and Ph.D. students will also speak at the event and discuss elements of their research. See the full list of speakers at TEDxUCLA “Waves” website.
