This image was photographed in the Charles E. Young Grand Salon in Kerckhoff Hall.

Though this image was staged, it was not photographed all at once. Instead, the artist took multiple close-up photos at different times and then digitally assembled them into this large tableau. The artist likens the act of creating a photograph to gathering materials to bring back to the studio, after which he makes further decisions about what to include and exclude and how to assemble the final picture.
