Renée Petropoulos
Title: From Mexico to the United States
Medium: Lithographs. 2013
Location:

Renée Petropoulos has had a number of important commissions in Los Angeles.

In 1993, she created a colorful 36′ x 36′ painting covering the vaulted ceiling of the lobby of the Los Angeles Public Library’s downtown branch. Using bright primary colors and asymmetrically placed geometrical patterns, Petropoulos created a vibrant canopy for this important space.

She also designed the art installation for one of Southern California’s Metro stations, specifically the Douglas/Rosecrans stop on the Green Line.
